Meet our Inspiration,
Cambria Rose
Our daily dose of giggles and genuine joy comes from this sweet child; hers comes from her great love of animals. Cambria’s happiness and pure excitement about pets inspired us to begin again; breeding family pets curated to fit perfectly into our family and yours. Our goal is to create a legacy of exceptional family pets that live up to the name she gave us the kindest permission to share.
At CambriaRose we are also committed to the highest standards of care, ensuring that all our dogs are health-screened and genetically tested for major genetic problems. This meticulous attention to detail guarantees that our puppies are not only beautiful but also healthy and well-prepared for their new homes. From the very beginning, our puppies are exposed to children and integrated into family life, fostering their socialization and adaptability. We also practice early puppy culture techniques to support their development and ensure they grow into well-rounded, confident dogs.

@The House On The Hill
Our dogs enjoy an acre of fully-fenced hillside space to enjoy being dogs. They come and go, inside and out, as they please; sleeping each night snuggled up together at the foot of our bed. Our puppy room is a peaceful, cool, dedicated space where our mamas feel safe and happy. In the weeks leading up to whelping, our girls get extra nutrition and care including couch cuddles and belly rubs. Once our puppies have arrived, someone sleeps near them in the whelping room every night to ensure all is well.
Your puppy will meet our Auntie dogs, Jane and Penny. They will also be exposed to our cat, Charlie. Our puppies will be gently handled by our family from day one, ensuring they will be well socialized prior to going home day.

Goldendoodles in Detail
Goldendoodles are “designer dogs.” They are a hybrid of the Poodle and Golden Retriever breeds. Like all other designer “breeds,” the Goldendoodle is not yet truly a breed of its own. A Goldendoodle is a crossbreed which takes selective breeding for the best of both breeds to make the perfect family dog.
When we breed our Goldendoodles, we seek to produce offspring with the kind temperament and sharp intelligence of both breeds, combined with the soft coat of the Golden Retriever and minimal to no shedding from the Poodle. We look for athletic, strong, standard to large sized parent dogs who exhibit friendly, confident, calm, relaxed temperament. Our ideal dog has a light footed-smooth fluid gait, is easily able to transition from outside play to inside calm, has a less strong prey drive, is low food motivated, does well with children/other pets and is a truly dynamic and multifaceted family pet.
Goldendoodles are typically very intelligent and easy to train. They are family dogs who love to be with their people. They are the perfect companion for walking, hiking and camping. They love to play ball, often like to swim, and are great for a cuddle. They are known to be successful as service, guide and therapy dogs. They are also known to be patient with children and other pets and have a strong desire to please.
This is currently the only “Breed Standard” for the Goldendoodle as proposed by GANA, the Goldendoodle Association of North America.
It is very new. With consistent, responsible breeding we may someday see the Goldendoodle recognized as a distinct breed.

Goldendoodles are bred in a variety of sizes. At CambriaRose we prefer a standard to large Goldendoodle between 45-60lbs who stands 21-24inches at the shoulder. We do not currently breed smaller sizes.
Goldendoodle coats can vary from curly, to wavy, to quite straight. All variations are normal however the moderately curly to wavy, fully furnished coats are the most preferred. Goldendoodles do require frequent brushing and regular trips to the groomer to prevent uncomfortable and unsightly matting. This is a cost you should plan for. Many owners choose to learn how to groom their Goldendoodle themselves right from the start. There are many easily found tutorials to familiarize yourself with the process online.
At CambriaRose we breed Multigen Goldendoodles. Multigen Goldendoodles are the most highly sought after because it takes years of breeding to produce a multigen litter.

Going Home Day
On going home day (usually a Saturday or Sunday) you will be given a time slot for choice of puppy and pickup based on the order of your deposit receipt. If you are unable to make it at that time you will be given the option to pass your time slot to the next family and move to the end of the line or to wait until the following litter for your choice puppy. This assures that multiple families’ time will be respected and keeps the process as fair as possible.
Also to note, we reserve the right to hold back the top two picks for our own or other breeders’ programs.
When choosing your puppy, we will provide you with a detailed personality and temperament assessment on each available choice to help with your decision. We suggest not only thinking about the cutest puppy or the prettiest color but also the activity level and personality of that puppy. A quiet reserved puppy may thrive better in a smaller household.
A large family with lots of kids and noise may find that a more active outgoing puppy may fit into their home better. Our goal is for our puppies and our families to have the best possible chance at a perfect match for a forever home. You will choose and take your puppy home on the same day!
As soon as you have settled on your pick, we will provide you with a curated going home kit tailored to your puppy. This will include some basics such as puppy pads, a small bag of our preferred puppy food, a starter collar, a favored toy, a small blanket that smells like mom and siblings, and a folder filled with all kinds of important information about your puppy, their parents, health needs, training tips, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
1) What do your puppies cost?
For 2024, all family pet puppies will be $3,500. We do not charge differently based on coat quality or color. The cost is a reflection of the quality of our program, our breadth of knowledge, our health and genetics testing practices, the actual cost of veterinary care, supplies and the time involved to whelp, care for and train each puppy. We require a deposit of $600 to reserve your puppy and space on the list, due upon reservation. This deposit ensures your seriousness of intent to commit to become a forever family for one of our puppies. The deposit will go toward the total purchase price of your puppy. The full balance will be due before you take home your puppy. No exceptions will be made.
2) Are your parent dogs fully health and genetically tested?
Yes. All our breeding dogs are fully genetically and health tested and clear for all testable issues through either Embark or PawPrint Genetics. We also complete OFA for hips, elbows, patellas, heart and eyes with specially trained veterinarians who have been certified to complete these examinations. We take breeding responsibly very seriously. We are dedicated to careful planning for each and every litter to make sure that CambriaRose dogs have the very best chance at a long healthy life right from the start.
3) Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes, we guarantee for one year against serious genetic illnesses that would impact your puppy/dog’s quality of life. Upon request, we will provide a full copy of this guarantee and all its provisions/restrictions.
4) Will my Goldendoodle puppy be hypoallergenic/non-shedding?
The truth is, we don’t know. The Poodle breed is known for their very limited shedding. They are also anecdotally known to be hypoallergenic. Typically the higher the percentage of Poodle in your Goldendoodle the higher likelihood that your dog will also possess these qualities. Still, there is no guarantee this will be the case due to the nature of genetic recombination. People do still have allergies to pollen and other allergens brought in on their pet’s fur from outside.
5) Will my puppy’s coat change?
Yes. Just like humans, puppies have "baby hair" that will change in texture once they begin to reach maturity around 6-12 months old. It will often get a little curlier and coarser, though some will stay silky. A majority of poodles and goldendoodles will clear their coat (fade) to some degree as they age. This isn't a fault, but a common gene in Poodles and thus Goldendoodles. Your once very red puppy may indeed end up, a still very lovable, apricot adult. Many breeders will cite that their breeding dogs do not carry the “dilute” gene which can be responsible for fading, however, there are still unidentified genes that can also be responsible for fading. The final coat color of any doodle puppy is subject to possible change over time and is often unpredictable. Similarly, coat curl is tied to multiple genes. Some Goldendoodle coats will be more coarse and curly while siblings within the same litter may represent more of the golden retriever look and have a softer longer coat. While we breed with an ideal in mind, there is always variation. We do not guarantee for coat or color.
6) Can I breed my CambriaRose puppy?
Typically no, but we do occasionally work with other and new breeders. There is a standard fee associated with consent to breeding rights. All of our family pet puppies are sold on a non-breeding contract. We do register the microchip to CambriaRose until proof of spay/neuter has been sent to us, at which time we transfer the paid, lifetime microchip to you. We strongly believe that foundational breeding dogs should be only the best with regard to temperament, health and genetics. We love to network with like-minded, responsible breeders. Just ask, we appreciate your honesty and communication!
7) Will my puppy already be potty trained?
We begin potty training at three weeks of age. Most puppies will have this down by the time they leave us. You will need to continue this training at home. If requested, we can send you home with a lightly soiled puppy pad to aid your puppy in finding your desired potty location right upon arrival. We also have included potty training tips in your take home guide.
8) What comes with my puppy?
You will receive a curated going home kit tailored specifically to your puppy. This will include some basics such as puppy pads, a small bag of our preferred puppy food, a starter collar, a small blanket that smells like mom and siblings, and a folder filled with all kinds of important information about your puppy, prior vet visits/shots/worming, their lineage, health needs, training tips, etc.
9) Can we come meet the puppies before going home day?
No. No exceptions will be made to this policy as it is for the safety of our family, our dogs, our puppies and our program as a whole. California is currently experiencing a distressing and unprecedented Parvovirus outbreak. We take all proper precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all our dogs so that you and all our families go home with a healthy, happy puppy! We do promise to make frequent posts on our Instagram page so you can check in and see the mamas and puppies once they arrive. We take tons of pictures and videos so you can see them from day one.
10) Can you transport my puppy to me?
Sometimes. If you think you may need transport please let us know and we can attempt to facilitate. We do have a driver available for some distances for an additional fee. We also have the option to meet you at the airport for an additional fee. We do not fly puppies cargo under any circumstances for their safety.
11) What if it just isn’t working out or we need to re-home our CambriaRose puppy/dog?
While we hope this never happens, we understand and are here to help! At CambriaRose, we ask that you use us a resource if you need ideas and advice with any and all things dog related. Please just give us a call or send a text if you prefer. If you feel that there has been a poor match, we have a great network to help place the puppy with a new, more suitable family. It is our greatest wish that none of our puppies ever end up lost to the shelter system. We are glad to offer this service and take it as our responsibility to help.
12) Will my puppy have had all its shots when I pick it up?
Your puppy will have had all shots due for puppies up to 8 weeks of age. You will need to continue shots from there. Your puppy will also come with a lifetime microchip and will have had a well puppy visit with our veterinarian. All puppies will also have two rounds of worming completed prior to going home day.
